Natural gas prices climbed for a sixth straight day on Tuesday, as the eastern U.S. felt its first deep chill of the season and expectations for higher gas-fired home heating demand rose. Gas futures for December delivery ended the day up 4.3 cents, or 1.2%, to settle at $3.617 per million British thermal units on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
