Natural gas futures locked in their fifth straight losing session on Wednesday as weather forecasts suggested weak gas-fired heating demand in the days ahead. Natural gas for January delivery fell 6.9 cents, or 1.8%, to end at $3.805 a million British thermal units on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Prices were at the lowest in more than a month and have fallen more than 18% since their recent peak two weeks ago. Weather forecasts issued early Wednesday projected a front of above-normal temperatures covering much of the U.S. stretching from Arizona to Maine during mid-December.
