Two Libyan oil fields were attacked on Friday, Libyan oil officials said, in a fresh wave of violence targeting the North African country’s vital energy sector. Meanwhile, the neighboring Mabruk oil field, operated by a Libyan joint venture with France’s Total SA, was stormed, officials said. “Smoke is coming out of the Mabruk field,” one official said.
