The energy company said it sold its 50% interest in Polar Lights Co. to Trisonnery Asset Ltd. for an undisclosed amount. The owners of Trisonnery couldn’t immediately be reached for comment. State oil company OAO Rosneft also recently sold its 50% stake in Polar Lights, Reuters reported last week. ConocoPhillips has been planning to sell about $2.3 billion in assets this year, as it pares back noncore holdings and cuts costs in the face of stubbornly low energy prices. In the first nine months of this year, the company sold $600 million worth of assets, and another $1.7 billion worth of deals were expected in the fourth quarter.
