CHANGE VALUES, CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION “The consumption and production patterns and values of far less than half of the world population over less than 100 years has led us to this mess. So we need to change our consumption and production patterns and values to fix it. First, values: put a price on pollution. It is insane that pollution has been and continues to be largely free for the polluters and costly for taxpayers. Second, consumption: educate citizens just like we did with anti-smoking campaigns. Everybody should know what and what not to do to reduce his or her own pollution on a daily basis. This must be regionally specific. In other words, create local “project drawdown” models and analysis. Third, production: map out all the players in all sectors. This will facilitate innovation, reduce duplication, enable circular flow of resources. 100 companies are responsible for 71 per cent of all GHG emissions.” — JackRuss
