Chinese consumer prices rose last month at the slowest pace since January, in a further sign that growth is easing in the country.  China’s consumer price index decelerated to a year-on-year pace of 1.2 per cent in May, from 1.5 per cent in April, according to government figures released on Tuesday. That undershot the 1.3 per cent pace forecast by economists.
