North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple, citing a December derailment, said he’ll “pursue” BNSF Railway until he’s satisfied appropriate safety measures are in place. Dalrymple met with Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Matt Ross at the company’s headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas, to discuss safety issues associated with rail delivery of crude oil. A BNSF train carrying oil derailed Dec. 30 about 25 miles west of Fargo, N.D., after colliding with a train carrying soybeans.
