Natural-gas prices jumped 3.2% Tuesday as short-sellers took profits from three straight losing sessions, and as another Eastern snowstorm boosted expectations of increased demand. Natural gas for April delivery settled up 13.5 cents at $4.411 a million British thermal units on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The April contract expires Thursday, and the majority of the volume in the market has shifted to the May contract, which ended up 14.2 cents, or 3.3%, at $4.414/mmBtu.
