The federal government has blamed the lingering fuel scarcity on the poor management of the subsidy regime by the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan. Information and Culture Lai Muhammed, while briefing State House reporters after yesterday’s emergency meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), said as regards fuel scarcity, the country was paying for Jonathan’s administration’s sins. The minister accused Jonathan’s government of inability to make adequate provision for fuel subsidy. “What I will be telling Nigerians (on the current fuel scarcity) is that what we met on ground is such that we are paying for the sins of the last administration.
