Preliminary dry natural gas production for March 2016 was 2,294 billion cubic feet (Bcf), or 74.0 Bcf/day. This level was a 0.1 Bcf/day (0.1%) increase from the revised March 2015 level of 73.9 Bcf/day. Preliminary dry natural gas consumption for March 2016 was 2,375 Bcf, or 76.6 Bcf/day. This level was a decrease of 9.2% from 2,617 Bcf in March 2015, or 7.8 Bcf/day. Year-over-year total consumption of dry natural gas in March decreased in the residential and commercial sectors and increased in the industrial and electric power deliveries sectors.
