Iraq’s state-run North Oil Company (NOC) has resumed pumping into regional refineries, the export pipeline controlled by the autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and into storage at the port of Ceyhan that has thus far remained under KRG administration. While the status quo may be untenable for long, the renewed flows signal that, despite political conflicts that recently exploded into open warfare, leaders in the federal government and KRG are at least willing to cooperate when it comes to oil.
