United Arab Emirates energy minister Suhail bin Mohammed al-Mazroui said on Monday that he saw no need for global oil producers to delay beyond their meeting later this month a decision on whether to extend output cuts. “I don’t see the need to delay the decision until March…We are not going to meet in that quarter unless it is extraordinary,” Mazroui said at an energy industry conference. He also said that while the UAE supported the idea of extending output cuts, he couldn’t say yet whether it would support the idea of extending them until end-2018.
