President Donald Trump is scheduled Friday night to sign a bill with new Nord Stream 2 sanctions into law, but it remains unclear whether the sanctions will have any impact on the pipeline’s construction. “It may very well be that the sanctions do not have enough of a bit to have a meaningful chilling effect on the construction activities,” said Annie Froehlich, a nonresident senior fellow with the Atlantic Council.
