With Russian President Vladimir Putin’s annual marathon news conference taking on a new look because of the coronavirus, Putin spent the first hour addressing how the country has handled the pandemic. The end-of-year session, which typically lasts roughly four hours, was conducted in a remote format this year. Putin answered questions from his suburban Moscow residence in Novo-Ogaryovo, and journalists from state, foreign and regional media posed their queries over video link from one of six centers all over the country.
