The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) lawsuit against several federal Oil Ministry leaders was delayed Tuesday — the latest development in a series of legal battles over the implementation of February’s landmark court decision against Kurdistan’s oil sector. Tuesday’s hearing at the Erbil Court of Criminal Investigation was postponed because the defendants, including Oil Minister Ihsan Ismaael, did not show up, according to a legal official familiar with the proceedings. The next hearing is scheduled for July 4.
