Stalled talks between world powers and Iran over a potential nuclear deal have left millions of barrels of Iranian oil hanging in the balance. The Chief of the UK’s MI6, Richard Moore, has suggested that Iran’s Supreme Leader may not even want a nuclear deal. Russia and China—part of the negotiations with Iran—are unlikely to obstruct a deal, but Iranians may not want it, Moore said. The German government and the biggest German buyer of Russian gas, Uniper, agreed on Friday on a $15 billion bailout package to help the energy giant which has been reeling from reduced Russian gas supply and soaring prices of non-Russian gas.
